Reference Laboratory Testing
For complex or ongoing health concerns, we work closely with IDEXX, a trusted veterinary reference laboratory, to access advanced testing and specialist interpretation.
Results may include expert input from pathologists, internal medicine specialists and radiologists, helping us reach a clearer diagnosis and tailor the best diagnostic and treatment plan for your pet.

Specialist testing and expert insight
Some health concerns need tests beyond those we run in our own laboratory, or a specialist’s view of the results.
Reference laboratory testing gives us:
- Advanced tests beyond our in-house laboratory
- Interpretation by veterinary pathologists
- Input from internal medicine specialists
- Reports from veterinary radiologists
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Every pet deserves
to be treated as an individual.
Compassion first
We want every visit to feel calm, respectful and comfortable for your pet.
Care that's considered
We look beyond the immediate problem to understand your pet's overall health.
Clear communication
We keep you informed and explain your options in straightforward language.
Here for the long term
We're here to support your pet throughout their changing needs and different stages of life.
What happens to your pet’s samples?
We collect the samples needed here at the clinic, such as blood, urine or tissue, and send them to the reference laboratory for testing. Your pet doesn’t need to travel anywhere for the tests themselves.

Talking you through the results
When the results come back, our veterinarians will explain what they mean, including any specialist comments, and discuss the next steps for your pet’s diagnosis and treatment.
