Before, during and after surgery
Your pet will receive a pre-operative health assessment, and we may recommend blood tests before anaesthesia. During surgery, we use anaesthesia, monitoring and pain relief tailored to your pet’s needs. Afterwards, we’ll give you clear aftercare instructions covering medication, wound care, activity restrictions and recovery.
How should I prepare my pet?
We’ll guide you through preparing your pet for surgery when you book, including when to stop feeding before the anaesthetic and what to bring. On the day, we’ll check your pet in, go through the consent form with you and confirm how to reach you. Please tell us about any medications, allergies or previous reactions to anaesthetic, and book a consultation if you’ve found a lump or your pet has a wound that won’t heal.
